Problems;
You need expertise in psychosocial compliance, diversity and accessibility and tailored training for your business?
I am your guy.
Business success depends on a workforce that is both legally compliant and operationally capable.
Navigating the complexity of current workplace regulations, from WHS psychosocial obligations to diversity and inclusion, often requires balancing shifting legal standards with the practical demands of day-to-day productivity and workplace culture.
I provide the independent expertise to streamline this balance, ensuring your workforce strategies deliver measurable performance, sustainable culture, and robust compliance.

What I do for you
I explore complex, people-oriented concerns for businesses and organisations and construct grounded solutions that are evidence-based.
A current high-priority issue facing Queensland businesses right now is the need to address the psychosocial aspects of complying with the WHS Act 2011 (Qld.). Another key focus in the current business landscape concerns Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility. Finally, executive coaching and workforce training in these areas are critical in ensuring that strategies developed become outcomes achieved.
The WHS Act 2011 (Qld.) makes PCBUs and decision-makers liable for failure to enact their positive duty to make themselves aware of psychosocial hazards affecting their workforce and to mitigate the risks creating them. I conduct full lifecycle projects to develop or establish a documented or thorough response to these legislative requirements. In simple terms, I can assist with finding the risks to the wellbeing and functioning of your workers, work out how you can manage those risks and document everything so you have records for audit.
In terms of diverse workforce and accessibility, I draw on studies in psychology, work experience in disability and support services and lived experience to inform authentic and actionable strategic advice to improve workplace policy and culture. Whether you need help with finding diverse hires, bias monitoring on a panel, performance management or setting your vision for culture in your organisation, I can help.
Every risk management process and culture change process needs training for workers to implement. Oftentimes executives benefit from coaching during largescale change processes, as well. With experience in developing and delivering engaging and comprehensive training, I would be delighted to discuss bespoke solutions for training as part of a larger process or as a standalone service for your business.
You can learn more about these services or contact me to set up a free 10 minute meeting to discuss how I can assist with your business needs.

Who is IDEA HR Consulting?
I am Taz Clifford, principal consultant for IDEA HR Consulting. My main expertise is in rapport building, alongside systems thinking and non-linear problem solving. I connect quickly and authentically with just about anyone and I connect the dots and solve problems in novel ways.
I have experience in the university sector - including student support policy writing and casual academic work, disability and support, retail and large animal agriculture and vet nursing. I have multiple degrees and tertiary studies covering Psychological Science, International Relations, Chinese (Mandarin), Plant Science, Equine Science and Agricultural Science, with my most advanced qualifications in Psychology. I also have significant lived experience and draw on the resilience and problem solving I have required as much as my research skills, knowledge and critical thinking abilities learned in university.
Industry Experience
My employment background covers a broad range of sectors, which has highlighted my transferable skills and agility in adapting in new sectors. While the details change, there are patterns that are often repeated. My clients benefit from how fast I can be brought up to speed when solving complex issues. I have also interacted with a broad range of people in these roles with a range of needs and pain points. This social flexibility allows me to move seamlessly from the jobsite to the boardroom, maintaining the awareness that there will be new things to learn every time.
Qualifications
My tertiary studies listed are the majors or minors I attained at least a second year proficiency in, the first four attaining Undergraduate or Associate degrees. I am currently undertaking a Master of Research - Psychology Specialisation. These areas of study give me understanding and insight into the key theories and models of those disciplines and the ability to understand research in those fields in a nuanced way. There are areas that overlap as well, and I have found that I am able to synthesise the basics of new fields quickly now that I have such a broad base to draw on. I am not an expert in all of these areas, but I can interact meaningfully with experts to get the data you need and I can translate it for you.
Speaking of translating, while I am not a translator, I am regaining my Chinese proficiency to add this skill to my capabilities. While I do this, I am still able to interact more meaningfully with ESL speakers, as I have insights into the challenges of moving between languages and cultures.
Lived Experience
“Lived experience” is a term, I have noticed, that will make an executive either lean in or cringe. Lived experience as the only qualification to conduct work can be fraught with risk, however, I raise this as a benefit alongside much training, professional experience and teaching experience. The benefits of my lived experience include faster problem solving due to much pragmatic and applied practice, resilience, patience and a willingness to work with what is at hand to make an impact, even if it is not what I would like to have access to in an ideal situation. I am also able to draw on my experiences, as well as those I have advocated for, to suggest a range of solutions for others in a similar situation. This can save significant time and stress, compared with having to engineer a solution from scratch.
